Focusrite iTrack Pocket for The Youtube Generation

Focusrite announced iTrack Pocket, a new portable, high quality stereo microphone and guitar interface with built-in amp simulation, purposely designed for musicians and singer-songwriters in particular, wishing to create and share videos using an iPhone. An affordable solution for an increasingly common practice, complemented by a free iOS app, Focusrite Impact.

Roland launched a new generation USB audio interface with DSD high-resolution audio support. The new Roland Mobile UA interface features new proprietary S1LKi technology in a minimalistic design with four channels of DSD and PCM audio in a small, bus-powered device.

The Swiss audio specialist will be introducing a variety of new hardware and software at the IBC show in Amsterdam (September 12-16) further expanding the options for the Horus and Hapi modular audio interfaces with a new AD and DA combination board. The new MOTU 1248, 8M and 16A audio interfaces provide Thunderbolt or high-speed USB 2.0 (compatible with USB 3.0), on-board DSP with mixing and effects, supporting a flexible 48-input digital mixer with dynamics modeled from British consoles. The new MOTU audio recording interfaces are also the first to use AVB audio networking for large multichannel configurations.

Audinate announced a new software-based Dante audio network that runs on any PC or Mac. It’s called Dante Via and it creates a flexible software audio bridge for any computer to connect with local USB, FireWire, Thunderbolt and analog audio interfaces, transforming them into Dante networked devices.
