Expanding on the popularity of the existing range of Katana mini-amplifiers for guitar and bass, BOSS now launched a new ultra-compact headphone amplifier for those who want to play (and practice) using wireless headphones. The updated Katana:Go is a great amp sound emulator, paired with Bluetooth wireless music streaming and an app for sound editing, learning tools, and spatial audio from the user’s smartphone.

Audient Announces iD48 8-Channel USB-C Audio Interface

Audient announced the launch of a new 8 channel USB-C audio interface with 24 inputs and 32 outputs, which the company will be presenting at the 2025 NAMM Show. The iD48 rackmount unit is now the flagship of the Audient studio interface range and places the British studio brand on a higher level of the market for project and commercial studios. Its design allows an expansion with 16 external mic preamps, streaming 24 simultaneous outputs over USB at 24-bit/96kHz, control studio monitors and talkback, and easily insert external processors and effects.

Shure introduced its new MV7i Smart Microphone and Interface at CES 2025. The MV7i is the first-of-its-kind microphone to serve as a dual-channel audio interface, allowing for two channels of recording and simplify the way creators record audio. The MV7i also features onboard DSP with auto level mode, real-time denoiser, a digital plosive filter and three adjustable reverb types, apart from MOTIV Mix desktop and MOTIV mobile app integration.
