Rational Acoustics Smaart Adds Integrated Control for Audient EVO Audio Interfaces

Rational Acoustics and Audient announced the integration between the recently updated Smaart v9 audio and acoustical measurement software and the Audient EVO line of USB-C audio interfaces. The Smaart 9.1 update integrates the controls for phantom power and gain for Audient’s EVO devices - EVO 4, 8, and 16 - directly from within the Smaart interface. Additionally, gain tracking may be enabled to allow for automatic decibel offset recalculation for calibrated inputs.

DirectOut Technologies has implemented DO.Net daemon to its EXBOX.MD Dante/MADI interface to remotely access and control the entire ANDIAMO Series. The combination of an EXBOX.MD and any ANDIAMO also upgrades the popular audio converter series with a Dante IO. The latest globcon beta, released at the same time, also introduces source selection (Auto/Manual) and MIDI triggering to EARS, the automatic input switching function of the EXBOX.MD, upgrading and completing this unique feature of the audio networking device.

Apogee Electronics announced the availability of a new software update for their Element Control App for Mac and iOS, designed specifically for the new Element Thunderbolt audio interfaces. The software update offers a new Talkback feature that allows to use Mac’s built-in microphone, or any Core audio input, to communicate with artists through their headphones. Apogee also launched the Apogee Control hardware remote control for Symphony I/O Mk II and Element Series Thunderbolt interfaces.

Apple recently updated Logic Pro X to version 10.1 and now Apogee Electronics announced the availability of new software installers that provide compatibility with the audio interface remote controls recently introduced in Logic Pro X 10.1 and Logic Remote 1.2. This way, Logic users with Apogee audio interfaces are able to adjust hardware input parameters directly from the Mixer view in Logic Pro X and Logic Remote.
