B&C Speakers Debuts DCX464 Coaxial Compression Driver

B&C Speakers' engineers have been working for the last five years on a family of next generation high frequency devices. The result is the DCX464, a new time coherent coaxial ring radiator design with a neodymium magnet assembly, which the company believes will open new horizons for the professional audio industry. Work Pro Widens SoundNut Pendant Speaker Range

AV equipment manufacturer Work Pro Audio is expanding the popular SoundNut range of pendant speakers for installed sound applications. After a preview at the ISE 2019 show, the Spanish company launched four more SoundNut models to complete the range: the SN-3, SN-6, SN-10, which feature three-, six- and 10-inch drivers respectively, and the SN-8SUB, an eight-inch subwoofer for low-frequency enhancement. All use the same basic design concept as the original SN-8 introduced in 2018.

As JBL states, the new One Series 104 monitors draw from seven decades of JBL Professional engineering to deliver an innovative new speaker, designed from the ground up.

Test Bench: BMS 4507ND Dual Diaphragm Coaxial Planar Wave Driver

The BMS 4507ND is a unique transducer that uses a neodymium coaxial compression driver to drive a planar waveguide intended for use in line arrays. BMS Speakers patented the two-way compression driver technology in 1997. This month’s Test Bench subject, the 6.5” 4507ND features a 300-Hz to 22-kHz bandwidth (6 to 22 kHz for the tweeter and 400 Hz to 6.3 kHz for the midrange). This edition of Test Bench characterizes the 12FCX76, 12” high-performance pro sound coaxial from B&C Speakers. This coaxial driver is similar to the 12FHX76, where the “H” designates that it uses a horn-loaded compression driver, while the “C” in the 12FCX76 stands for conical-loaded compression driver (the “F” is for ferrite). The 12FCX76 uses ferrite motors for both the woofer and the compression driver. Test Bench: SEAS E0060-08/06 6.5” King Coax

The driver featured in this Test Bench is the new E0060-08/06 6.5 “King Coax” from SEAS. Recognized for several years for its high-performance coaxial midrange/tweeter drivers, SEAS developed this new driver at the request of a studio monitor customer who wanted a compact three-way monitor and asked SEAS to develop a midrange + tweeter coax.
