New Drivers from Eighteen Sound at Prolight+Sound 2015

The Reggio Emilia loudspeaker specialist was in full force at the 2015 Prolight+Sound show in Frankfurt with an impressive display of new products in its catalogue. New for this year, the 8CX650 and 10CX650 coaxial loudspeakers, announced earlier in the year, are now shipping. But there’s also the ND4015Ti2 compression driver, the XG10 line source waveguide and much more.

As promised, at the 2015 Prolight+Sound show, in Frankfurt, Beyma introduced its new WR low frequency 10WR300, 12WR400 and 15WR400 drivers for small and medium sized vented cabinets. Beyma also introduced the new 8CX300Fe 8” coaxial driver designed for full range applications and previewed upgraded versions of the 15P1000FeV2, 12P80NdV2 and 8P300Fe/N low frequency transducers.

New for 2015, Celestion announced the introduction of its new FTX range of common magnet motor coaxial loudspeakers and the launch of the CDX07-1075; a new ¾-inch exit, neodymium magnet compression driver. Both products will be shown at the NAMM 2015.

Devialet surprised the high-end world two weeks before the CES 2015 with the announcement of a completely new loudspeaker concept: the Phantom speaker.
