SEAS Announces New Excel Graphene C16NX001/F Coaxial Speaker

SEAS announced its fourth speaker model in the company's new Excel Graphene line, designed for modern high-res audio reproduction. The new C16NX001/F is also the first coaxial driver using the magnesium cone treated with the new graphene nano-coating formula, and the successor to the famous C16N001/F (E0051-04/06) driver from SEAS, implementing all the improvements the company introduced into the W16NX003 woofer.

BMS Speakers Introduces New Coaxial Drivers and Next Generation 1" Compression Drivers

BMS Speakers introduced several new drivers at the Prolight+Sound 2019 show in Frankfurt, some still in prototype stage, others ready to enter production. Among the drivers now confirmed to be released are two new patented coaxial designs, including BMS' first 10" coaxial driver, the 10C262, and a new 12" coaxial transducer, the 12C382. Also new are the company's next generation 1" compression drivers, the BMS 5530 and 5531, taking BMS' ultra-low intermodulation distortion ring diaphragm to a new standard in size to output ratio, and providing the lowest crossover available at that size.

B&C Speakers' engineers have been working for the last five years on a family of next generation high frequency devices. The result is the DCX464, a new time coherent coaxial ring radiator design with a neodymium magnet assembly, which the company believes will open new horizons for the professional audio industry. Work Pro Widens SoundNut Pendant Speaker Range

AV equipment manufacturer Work Pro Audio is expanding the popular SoundNut range of pendant speakers for installed sound applications. After a preview at the ISE 2019 show, the Spanish company launched four more SoundNut models to complete the range: the SN-3, SN-6, SN-10, which feature three-, six- and 10-inch drivers respectively, and the SN-8SUB, an eight-inch subwoofer for low-frequency enhancement. All use the same basic design concept as the original SN-8 introduced in 2018.

Test Bench: BMS 4507ND Dual Diaphragm Coaxial Planar Wave Driver

The BMS 4507ND is a unique transducer that uses a neodymium coaxial compression driver to drive a planar waveguide intended for use in line arrays. BMS Speakers patented the two-way compression driver technology in 1997. This month’s Test Bench subject, the 6.5” 4507ND features a 300-Hz to 22-kHz bandwidth (6 to 22 kHz for the tweeter and 400 Hz to 6.3 kHz for the midrange). This edition of Test Bench characterizes the 12FCX76, 12” high-performance pro sound coaxial from B&C Speakers. This coaxial driver is similar to the 12FHX76, where the “H” designates that it uses a horn-loaded compression driver, while the “C” in the 12FCX76 stands for conical-loaded compression driver (the “F” is for ferrite). The 12FCX76 uses ferrite motors for both the woofer and the compression driver.
