Decisive Momentum for MQA at Munich High End 2016

This year’s High End show in Munich was a decisive moment for Master Quality Authenticated (MQA), the technology and the UK-based private company. Adopted by an increasing number of hardware and content partners, the revolutionary end-to-end technology that delivers master quality audio in a file that’s small enough to stream or download is now closer to become mainstream following the announcement that Warner Music Group and MQA have entered a long-term licensing deal.

Bob Stuart’s MQA initiative is undoubtedly one of the most important audio technologies under the spotlight at CES 2016. Just prior to the opening of the show (Jan 6-9, Las Vegas, NV), MQA has confirmed major new partnerships with both content and hardware companies, as well as new development platforms for manufacturers wishing to support the format.

Bluesound was the first wireless digital multi-room music system to fully support high-resolution audio. Now, the sister company to NAD and PSB Speakers unveiled Gen 2, an upgraded platform of virtually every aspect of the product’s design and performance with reengineered multi-room wireless streaming digital music players and two entirely new models.

TIDAL, the Norwegian High Fidelity lossless music streaming service with HD music videos and curated editorial, announced it will launch its service in 22 new countries during the first quarter of 2015. The company also confirmed twelve home audio integration partners are already live with TIDAL, namely, Sonos, Bluesound, Linn, Simple Audio, Auralic, Mirage, Squeezebox, Amarra sQ, Mcintosh, Wadia, Electrocompaniet and Meridian.
