Merging Technologies To Introduce Significant Enhancements to Software and Hardware at IBC 2018

Merging Technologies will arrive in Amsterdam with a significantly enhanced product range. This has more to do with ensuring that the company’s main products address the new workflow demands of broadcasters than only taking advantage of new components. Pyramix, Ovation, VCube, Horus, Hapi and ANEMAN all have something notable to entice visitors to stand 8.E96 at RAI. Merging is sharing this space with its Swiss neighbours, PSI Audio and Sonosax.

German manufacturer Jünger Audio has introduced Netbridge UHD - a new, advanced interface that closes the gap between digital audio production systems and modern video formats. The 19-inch solution allows for simple and fast integration of 4K-UHD or four HD video streams into MADI and AoIP (AES67 and Dante) infrastructures. With its four 3G SDI interfaces, Netbridge UHD is also ideal as an audio video front end for small and medium-sized video editing suites or workstations.

Solid State Logic announced the introduction of four new broadcast specification audio interfaces for Dante/AES67 audio networks; the A16.D16, the A32, the D64 and the Dante PCIeR. The release of four new devices simultaneously demonstrates SSL’s commitment to providing a comprehensive collection of audio interfaces and converters for use as standalone units or in conjunction with SSL’s growing range of Dante/AES67 enabled Broadcast and Live production consoles.

Merging Technologies introduced two new cards for its Horus and Hapi range of Networked Audio Interfaces. The new boards are available in two versions. The AKD8D is the standard version giving superlative results up to 192kHz PCM. The AKD8DP extends the range up to 384kHz and includes all variants of DSD up to 256 and DXD. Both boards offer ultra-low distortion and noise floor at low levels whilst reducing latency even more.
