Redux Labs unveils industry’s thinnest soundbar using Gorilla Glass

The technology development consultancy Redux Labs has unveiled what they believe to be the industry’s thinnest soundbar. It uses the company’s SurfaceSound technology to drive the sound from a 1.2m panel of Corning Gorilla Glass and deliver very high quality audio (equivalent to $1k soundbars on the market today) with a sleek look and at a significantly lower pricepoint.

London music start-up ROLI, whose award-winning product, the Seaboard GRAND keyboard, met with unexpectedly strong demand creating waiting lists of up to a year, is now poised to scale production and expand globally. The music technology start-up designed the Seaboard GRAND keyboard, reimagining the piano keyboard as a soft, continuous surface with polyphonic pitch bend, vibrato and per-note dynamic changes. The concept amazed visitors at the NAMM Show 2014, marrying the intuitiveness of a traditional instrument with the versatility of digital technology.

The Dynacord AXM 12A is a versatile active loudspeaker designed for monitoring, PA, fill or delay duties – even operation as a three-way system with a sub extension is possible. The new model uses as onboard 520W Class-D amplifier to achieve high levels of SPL (max 128 dB), with an integrated DSP for optimal performance on loud stages. Its compact dimensions and a weight of less than 15 kg assure easy mobility.

The XL2 Data Explorer Software version 1.10 release adds level statistics and spectral calculations, while the update also increases the presentation capabilities. The update to this PC reporting software from NTi Audio is available for download free of charge for all XL2 Data Explorer users.

Harman International Industries announced it has signed an agreement with The Duchossois Group, Inc. and its affiliates to acquire AMX LLC for US$365 million. AMX is a leading provider of enterprise control and automation systems and audio and video switching and distributing solutions. AMX will be integrated into Harman’s Professional division.
