The PLASA Awards for Innovation & Sustainability 2015 and the Gottelier Award were presented at the PLASA Show at London’s ExCeL. This year, 31 products were nominated for the Awards for Innovation & Sustainability, with eight awards presented, including a final Gold Award for Innovation. ZUK Z1 Smartphone Uses High-Performance ams Noise Cancellation Chip for USB Type-C Earbuds
Lenovo’s new subsidiary, ZUK, is using ams’ Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) analog speaker driver for the earbuds of its new Z1 smartphone. This is also the first ANC headset in the world to feature the new USB Type-C connector rather than the traditional 3.5mm audio jack. The fully-integrated ams device offers noise cancellation with very low power consumption, making it ideal for headsets, headphones and ear pieces.
