
B&C Expands 4” Woofer Family with New 4NDS34 Driver
B&C Speakers added the 4NDS34 neodymium subwoofer to their 4" family of professional transducers. The 4NDS34 features a 34mm copper voice coil, 84 gram neodymium slug magnet, 200w continuous power rating, and high sensitivity (89 dB) from 80-2000Hz. The 4NDS34 subwoofer compliments the other B&C 4" family members, including the 4NDF34 neodymium woofer, and the 4CXN36 high performance coax which combines a 36mm diaphragm compression driver and wide bandwidth woofer.

Celestion Launches the CDX14-3040 Neodymium Magnet Compression Driver
At this year’s Prolight+Sound (Hall 3.1, Stand B40), Celestion, one of the world’s leading suppliers of professional loudspeakers and compression drivers for sound reinforcement applications is announcing the launch of the CDX14-3040 neodymium magnet compression driver. This brand new model utilizes a single-piece pure titanium diaphragm and surround—together with a compact lightweight magnet assembly — to deliver a superior high frequency performance.

New Low Frequency Drivers From Lavoce for Prolight+Sound 2018
Lavoce Italiana continues to unveil the new drivers that it will be launching at Prolight+Sound 2018 (Frankfurt, April 10-13). The transducer company will be showing the new MAN062.00 high-power 6.5” neodymium midrange; a new 12" model, the WAF123.02 with a ferrite magnet purposely designed for mid-band applications; and the new and powerful 21” subwoofer, the SAF214.50, able to offer super high excursion using a 4.5” CCAW sandwiched voice coil and a ferrite motor.

OPPO Digital Announces Decision to Gradually Stop Manufacturing New Products
It could well have been an April's Fool story, but unfortunately it was released on April 2nd... In a message of farewell, OPPO Digital confirms it will gradually stop manufacturing new products, causing a shockwave across home theater and audio enthusiasts all over the world. A decision which is hard to understand given the brand's recent success stories in Blu-ray players, planar magnetic headphones and even wireless speakers. OPPO Digital also confirms they are open to proposals regarding the IP related to their product design.

Zoom Launches F1 Field Recorder and Mic Systems for Video Recording Devices
Zoom is now shipping its F1 Field Recorder with a choice of shotgun or lavalier microphones, expanding its product line of quality audio recording solutions for video recording devices and DSLR cameras. The all-new two-channel F1 Field Recorder takes portable audio recording to a new level, with a bright display for outdoors, pre-recording buffer, on-board limiter and auto-level control, and USB connectivity, allowing transfers to a computer, or recording directly to a computer or iPad using the USB audio interface mode.

Aaton-Transvideo to Demonstrate AMBEO and Immersive Audio Support at NAB 2018
Aaton-Digital and Transvideo will be demonstrating several important innovations in terms of immersive audio production support at NAB 2018 (Las Vegas, April 9-12), both in their own booth and other partners' booths. Aaton-Digital audio products will be found on the Wisycom and Sennheiser booths. Aaton-Digital has announced that from now on, the CantarX3 and the CantarMini recorders will be delivered with Sennheiser AMBEO compatibility as standard.

Merging Technologies to Show ANEMAN Enterprise Software at the Core of IP Interoperability Demonstrations
Merging Technologies will once again be at the center of IP interoperability demonstrations during NAB 2018. The Swiss company will use the show to demonstrate ANEMAN Enterprise, a new software designed for high availability and large audio networking systems’ monitoring and configuration. ANEMAN Enterprise uses the same connection and network management technology developed for the free ANEMAN software, with support for AES67 and ST2110.

Clear-Com Introduces Agent-IC Intercom App with Support for Apple Watch
At NAB 2018, (Las Vegas, April 9-12) Clear-Com will present Agent-IC 2.2, the latest version of its established free app that expands intercom access via mobile devices such as the Apple Watch. Intercom calls can be initiated or taken via Apple Watch and paired with a Bluetooth headset or iPhone. The Agent-IC update now offers support for all three versions of the Apple Watch. At NAB 2018 Clear-Com also celebrates the company's 50th anniversary.
