This will be an early preview of the service, and an opportunity for Sonos’ users to try listening to Apple Music on Sonos in their homes. It makes sense, since Sonos also offers its new Trueplay acoustic calibration tool using the Sonos app on any iPhone or iPad.

From one perspective, it is a great promotional idea—not much different from those great video ads Apple puts out. It will certainly stimulate awareness for traditional radio and Apple can afford to spend the money. So, no harm done. But that’s it.
