Monster Products and Speak Music, the voice and AI driven personal music platform, announced the launch of the “MonsterTalk” Family of voice-powered premium headphones. While other headphone manufacturers have implemented voice-assistants that "talk" to users, Monster implemented a fully-featured voice recognition interface, allowing users to literally tell their headphones what music to play, ask for a particular song, artist, genre or playlist.

Japanese company Cotodama did exactly that with its Lyric Speaker, which automatically visualizes lyrics in a beautiful way. When the user chooses a song on its mobile phone, the lyrics show up on the translucent screen. This speaker has won SXSW's Best Bootstrap Company in 2015 and is now available.

TIDAL Introduces MQA Streaming “Master Audio” Support

During CES 2017, TIDAL and MQA announced the much anticipated support for Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) on their streaming service. Until now only available on file-based downloads, the bandwidth efficient high-resolution audio format (HRA) is now available on a mainstream platform. TIDAL was previously the only music streaming service to offer a “higher-quality” subscription option. Those subscribers will now be able to access MQA encoded masters.
