For now, Deezer Premium+ users in the UK can harness the power of their own voice for the ultimate lean-back audio experience including direct access to Flow, a personal soundtrack that combines smart data and editorial recommendations to play a continuous stream of music specifically tailored for the individual listener. Alexa will also be able to identify and play music based on specific genres and moods.
With smart speakers recognized as the most in-demand consumer technology, with more than 56 million smart speakers predicted to ship globally in 2018 (source: Canalys Research, January 2018) consumers and music lovers who value a personalized experience can combine both through Amazon Alexa and Deezer.
According to Deezer, Amazon Alexa voice features will include:
Primary Music Account – allows users to set Deezer as the preferred music streaming service under settings and have instant access to over 53 million tracks.
Flow – When users say “Alexa, play Flow,” Alexa will immediately play a never-ending personal soundtrack that only stops when the user wants it to stop.
On demand music – Deezer subscribers can use voice commands to search and play specific tracks, artists, albums and genres, as well as control volume, pause and skip songs.
Music for your mood – The service recognizes over 18 different moods among 74 different genres and allows users to say commands such as “Alexa, play rock music.”
