Sonos announced Sonos Arc Ultra, a new premium soundbar that also debuts the new Sound Motion transducer technology that finally leverages some of the original Mayht patents. Part of the new generation of advanced designs that the Sonos engineering team is creating, the Sonos Arc Ultra is able to reinvent what a premium soundbar is capable of doing. With the new soundbar, Sonos also introduced Sub 4 with a refreshed design, both systems tightly integrated with Sonos app updates that deliver a significant progress in performance.

Sonos announced the Era 100 Pro, specifically engineered for professional installation. The new speaker design is optimized for PoE+ and is complemented by the Era 100 Pro Surface Mount, offering versatile installation options. Sonos is also introducing zones, a new software feature that will make bonding and controlling multiple speakers easier and more customizable for larger spaces. In time for the CEDIA Expo 2024, Sonos also announced a new Search API that strengthens compatibility with third-party control systems.

Sonos announced the launch of its first-ever headphones. The Sonos Ace headphones are a very nice design, updated with all the technologies expected today. A Bluetooth 5.4 platform based on Qualcomm's Snapdragon Sound, with Active Noise Cancellation, advanced noise control for voice and calls, support for aptX lossless streaming, and spatial audio with Dolby Head Tracking. The TV audio swap is a core distinctive feature, allowing users to switch to headphones from Sonos soundbars.

Sonos revealed its most extensive app redesign ever, creating a new, more unified streaming experience that allows users to organize their favorite playlists, stations, albums and more from over 100 services on one customizable Home screen. The new Home screen also provides faster access to Sonos system controls with one easy swipe up, making tab to tab jumping a thing of the past. The new app supports all existing S2 products and will be available globally through a software update for the S2 mobile app and via an all-new web app on May 7, 2024.

Sonos extended the successful Sonos Architectural line of passive speakers with a new 8" in-ceiling speaker, designed and tuned in collaboration with Sonance. Elegant and simple to install, the Sonos and Sonance designed speaker will be presented at ISE 2024 in Barcelona as an additional size option for installers and will be available Spring 2024 for $999/pair.

Sonos Bolsters Leadership Team and Names Maxime Bouvat-Merlin as Chief Product Officer

Preparing for the opportunity ahead, Sonos introduced new members of its executive management team. Veteran Sonos executive Maxime Bouvat-Merlin was named Chief Product Officer, leading the global product and operations organizations, as Deirdre Findlay joins as its new Chief Commercial Officer with responsibilities spanning all go-to-market and customer experience functions. Dunja LaRosa also joins as Chief Revenue Officer, responsible for overseeing Sonos’ key sales channels.
