Audinate Brings Dante to NewTek’s TalkShow and Quicklink TX Skype TX Solutions

In 2013, Microsoft announced it would license its professional Skype TX to the broadcast industry. In 2014, three manufacturers were awarded the required license: Riedel (Germany), NewTek (USA) and Quicklink (UK). Now, Audinate confirmed its Dante media networking software has been integrated with Skype TX and both the NewTek TalkShow and Quicklink TX units.

While standards for immersive object-based sound are still being discussed by the SMPTE, DTS decided not to wait any longer and to go after the Dolby Atmos immersive audio format, by announcing its own object-based codec technology, DTS:X.
