2015 NAB Show Floor Expands To Over One Million Net Square Feet

April 9 2015, 03:10
With more than 98,000 attendees from 150 countries and 1,700+ exhibitors expected for the 2015 edition, the NAB Show is the world’s largest gathering of vendors driving the future of media and entertainment. Held April 11-16 (exhibits open April 13-16) at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), the NAB Show is the annual conference and expo for professionals who create, manage and distribute entertainment across all platforms.

The exhibition will feature new products and next-generation technologies displayed through interactive exhibits, live demonstrations and technology-focused pavilions. The 2015 NAB Show’s 244 first-time exhibitors will join a wide variety of NAB Show’s exhibiting veterans.

“Hitting the one million mark on exhibit floor space is a testament to NAB Show’s continued relevance in an age of rapid advances in technology and change for media and entertainment,” says NAB Executive Vice President of Conventions and Business Operations Chris Brown. “Our growth is reflective of NAB Show’s ability to adapt and deliver fresh perspectives on the industry’s most innovative companies and cutting-edge technologies.”

The 2015 NAB Show will comprise 1,700+ companies, including 650 international exhibitors, and some of the world’s leading brands and companies, from Amazon Web Services to Avid and from Dolby Laboratories to Sony Electronics. As usual most of the audio-related exhibits will be located on the Central Hall, right after the main entrance to the LVCC. Walk in the direction to the South Hall and you will find the Radio / Pro Audio exhibits on a slightly different layout than past years, extending towards the Acquisition & Production areas of the Central Hall.

Also on the exhibit floor this year, the SPROCKIT program will once again feature a pavilion showcasing a unique collection of 30 market-ready startup companies positioned to transform the media and entertainment industry. The new Aerial Robotics and Drone Pavilion, presented in partnership with the Drone Media Group, will be located in the South Upper Hall and will feature dozens of aerial robotics companies, a flying cage, demonstration area and daily sessions.

New education offerings on the show floor include Post|Production Campus, presented in partnership with Future Media Concepts. This learning and networking area of the Show floor will feature 30-minute sessions, presented by certified instructors and noted editors as well as “Ask the Expert” stations and daily raffles.

New this year in the North Hall and Westgate Hotel will be New Media Expo (NMX), a co-located event featuring dozens of exhibitors and the industry’s most recognized bloggers, podcasters, Web TV content creators and social media specialists. The conference will include more than 100 educational sessions and the popular Speed Networking program. Notable speakers include Adam Corolla, Norm Pattiz (Westwood One Founder) and Chris Jericho (professional wrestler and media personality).
