Yamaha Dante Products To Support AES67 Audio Network Interoperability

At the IBC 2016 show in Amsterdam, virtually every manufacturer was announcing support for IP interfaces, with AES67 being the common reference in terms of audio, even if supporting one of the wider reaching AoIP protocols, like Dante, Ravenna, or Livewire, among others. Yamaha has announced that it will successively update Dante products to support the AES audio-over-IP interoperability standard, allowing Yamaha products equipped with Dante networking capability to communicate with Ravenna and other audio networks via AES67.

Riedel Communications Reinforces Market Reach with ASL and DELEC Acquisitions

Following several other acquisitions in the intercom segment, at the IBC 2016 show, Riedel Communications announced the acquisition of ASL Intercom BV, from The Netherlands and DELEC Audio und Videotechnik, from Germany. InfoComm 2016 was an important opportunity for the AVnu Alliance to reinforce the work being done around IEEE 802.1 Audio Video Bridging (AVB) and Time Sensitive Network (TSN) standards, with new companies joining the consortium, introduction of new reference platforms and tools, and Cisco finally introducing AVB-enabled switches.
