November 9 2023, 01:10
Creative Technology announced the release of its latest Creative Aurvana Ace and Creative Aurvana Ace 2 true wireless earbuds featuring solid-state MEMS-based drivers from xMEMS. The Creative Aurvana Ace series has been expertly tuned to deliver a wider frequency response ranging from 5Hz to 40KHz for high resolution audio sources, benefiting from the unique characteristics of MEMS drivers. The new Bluetooth 5.3 earbuds also feature LE Audio with LC3 codec, and Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).

Targeting audio enthusiasts seeking the very best in true wireless earbuds, the new Creative Aurvana Ace Series will be a first opportunity for consumers to experience the power and precision of xMEMS drivers in a premium design with ANC features. The product launch follows the joint preliminary announcement made by the two companies in August 2023, where Creative praised xMEMS drivers for its "exceptional phase consistency (7x better than conventional drivers), offering superior spatial audio experiences with improved detail and separation."

The Creative Aurvana Ace and Creative Aurvana Ace 2 true wireless earbuds showcase an innovative design using a two-driver system that harmoniously blends the power of xMEMS technology with custom-tuned 10 mm dynamic drivers for the required bass extension response and noise cancellation. Together, these dual drivers can deliver a wide range of natural sounds with precision, promising superior experiences in music reproduction. The duo driver system also ensures a distortion-free audio experience, and better intelligibility for calls.

Beyond the exceptional audio capabilities, the Creative Aurvana Ace and Creative Aurvana Ace 2 designs offer an array of features that elevate the user experience. With Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation and Ambient Mode, users can fully immerse themselves in their audio or stay aware of their surroundings, adapting seamlessly to any environment. These earbuds also come equipped with six built-in microphones powered by Qualcomm cVc (Clear Voice Capture) noise cancellation technology, ensuring crystal-clear calls even in noisy environments. With up to 24 hours of total playtime, and being IPX5 certified, these latest earbuds are ideal for users with active lifestyles.

Both models also support a variety of audio codecs. Since they are ready to support Bluetooth LE Audio they already feature the mandatory new LC3 Codec for superior wireless audio quality from compatible sources, while a Bluetooth Classic mode will offer AAC, aptX, and aptX Adaptive, ensuring compatibility with various devices and offering high-quality audio streaming.

In terms of design, the Creative Aurvana Ace earbuds showcase a distinct matte black finish with a hint of copper, while the Creative Aurvana Ace 2 model boasts a modern smoked translucent design with a striking copper highlight.

While both models share the key features mentioned above, there are some noteworthy distinctions that set Creative Aurvana Ace 2 apart. Featuring Qualcomm Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), the Creative Aurvana Ace 2 possesses the intelligence to adapt and fine-tune noise cancellation levels in real-time based on specific environmental conditions and earbud fit. This innovative capability ensures a perfect balance between noise isolation and situational awareness, making them perfect for diverse listening environments.

Coupled with the latest Qualcomm aptX Lossless codec, the Creative Aurvana Ace 2 earbuds deliver lossless, hi-fidelity, wireless audio at 16-bit/44.1kHz, akin to a CD-level experience.

"xMEMS drivers represent an exciting leap forward in audio technology," said Song Siow Hui, CEO at Creative. "They enable the Creative Aurvana Ace and Ace 2 to reproduce sound with stunning accuracy and fidelity. Users can expect a level of immersion and clarity that redefines their perception of premium audio."

The Creative Aurvana Ace earbuds are priced at US$129.99, while the Creative Aurvana Ace 2 are priced at US$149.99. Pre-orders are available at creative.com/aurvanatws. The worldwide public premiere of these products will take place at the CanJam Dallas event, November 11-12, 2023.
