To help engineers and acousticians achieve accurate measurements in everyday tasks, Bruel & Kjaer has created a robust and reliable 1/2-inch CCLD pressure-field microphone - Type 4971-H-041. This new microphone was designed for measuring close to hard reflective surfaces, close to sound ports of audio devices or in flush mountings. The new Bruel microphone is also suitable for random-incidence measurements and free-field measurements with 90° incidence.

QSC announced two new audio, video and control processors native to its Q-SYS Ecosystem – the smaller Q-SYS Core 8 Flex and Q-SYS Core Nano. DSP Group Selects Synopsys ARC EM Processor IP for Adaptive Processing Smart Codecs
Synopsys announced that DSP Group selected Synopsys DesignWare ARC EM5D Processor IP for its high-efficiency control and signal processing capabilities to enable development of its DBMC2-TWS advanced adaptive processing audio codec for true wireless stereo (TWS) headsets. To dynamically configure settings and filter parameters on-the-fly, the DBMC2-TWS integrates an ARC EM5D processor, abundant internal memory and numerous digital interfaces.

An Immersive Champagne Tasting Space for the House of Krug in France
French designer and manufacturer of high-end electroacoustic systems Amadeus and the Krug Champagne winery in France have set up a tasting room with an immersive audio system with highly customized speakers for specially composed music to accompany wine tasting. France's advanced acoustics and music technology research institute IRCAM was intimately involved with Amadeus to create an immersive 'Audio Tasting Space' at the House of Krug, Reims France.

CUI Devices Adds IP67 Rated Models to Enclosed Speaker Line
CUI Devices’ Audio Group announced the addition of waterproof enclosed speakers to its CES product family. Carrying IP67 ratings, these enclosed speakers feature sound pressure levels (SPLs) from 89 to 106 dB at 10 cm and resonance frequencies from 680 to 1700 Hz.
