CES 2024 Lasting Impressions: The Highlights

CES2024 was the best in a long time. I said that in my First Impressions article, and as we distance ourselves from the whirlwind of those hectic six show days, the stronger that feeling grows. And one of the reasons has to do with the fact that important technologies are already making a difference in the audio products that we will soon see in the market - while many others are about to. And there are clearly companies that left us with very positive, lasting impressions that we can and need to share.

Test Bench: SB Acoustics’ WO24TX-4 Satori 9.5” Midbass Woofer

This midbass woofer is the latest product from SB Acoustics to feature a Composite Sound Thin-ply Carbon Diaphragm (TPCD) cone and another significant product from its Satori Line of high end drivers. New Ways to Measure Noise Cancelling, Transparency, and Other Modes in Headphones and Earphones

Now that headphones and earphones are adding situational awareness, hearing protection and hearing enhancement features, HEAD acoustics created new test methods to evaluate these functions, faithfully simulating environments that a consumer might typically encounter when using products with these features.
