Nureva Granted Three Patents for Its Microphone Mist Technology Platform
Nureva, the collaboration-solutions company from Calgary, Alberta, announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued three new patents for the company’s Microphone Mist technology platform. Patents numbered 10,063,987 and 10,397,726 describe the ability to focus sound signals in a shared 3D space, and patent 10,387,108 describes the use of sound source positional information to derive automatic gain control output parameters.

Sony Corporation announced that 360 Reality Audio content, which offers a new immersive music experience for listeners, will be made available on the new Amazon Echo Studio with Amazon Music HD to customers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and Japan later this year. Sony's 360 Reality Audio is an immersive audio experience utilizing MPEG-H object-based spatial audio technology from Fraunhofer IIS.
AES New York 2019 Acoustics and Psychoacoustics Track Will Bridge the Theoretical and Practical
At the 147th AES New York 2019 convention (October 16–19), the Acoustics and Psychoacoustics Track will feature nine events over the convention’s four days that explore the way we hear and the ways the spaces we listen in affect perception.
