The Audio Winners of the European Imaging and Sound Association 2015-2016 Awards

Just before the annual IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin, the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) Awards, featuring more than 20 audio categories have been announced. Winners for 2015-2016 include Hi-Fi, mobile, home-theater and in-car products.

Following the preview at the CES 2015, Samsung Electronics launched its Radiant360 R7 Wireless Speaker. No doubt, Samsung’s first omnidirectional speaker offers a sleek, unique design. The sleek oval-shaped R7 uses a “Ring Radiator” technology to deliver 360 degrees of sound and was developed in Samsung’s new state-of-the-art Audio Lab in Valencia, CA.

Microchip Technology’s fourth-generation JukeBlox platform enables product developers to build low-latency systems, such as wireless speakers, sound bars, AV receivers, micro systems, and more. The JukeBlox 4 Software Development Kit (SDK) in combination with the CY920 Wi-Fi & Bluetooth Network Media Module features dual-band Wi-Fi technology, multi-room features, AirPlay and DLNA connectivity, and integrated music services.

Qualcomm Connected Experiences, a subsidiary of Qualcomm, has announced the general availability of its AllPlay Click Software Development Kit (SDK). Furthermore, several major hardware and content providers have announced launches relating to the Qualcomm AllPlay smart media platform.

Imagination Technologies launched Bluetooth Caskeid, an enhanced version of its wireless multiroom audio streaming technology that delivers any audio app content to multiple Caskeid-enabled speakers through a unique combination of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
