Crest Audio Launches PB-32 Soundgrid-to-Dante Bridge for Fully Digital Desk-To-Loudspeaker PA Solution

Crest Audio, part of Peavey Commercial Audio, has announced the PB-32 SoundGrid-to-Dante network bridge that provides the connection between Crest Audio’s flagship Tactus digital mixing system and the new powered Versarray Pro line array system. The PB-32 will enable the audio signal to remain in the digital domain from the desk to the Dante-enabled Versarray Pro PA system. It may also be deployed by any other audio systems utilizing the Dante audio networking protocol, thereby also offering compliance with the AES67 interoperability standard.

RAVENNA Improves Session Description Protocol Features with Release of Latest RAV-2-SAP Converter

A new version of the RAVENNA-to-SAP (RAV-2-SAP) conversion tool has just been released and is available for download from the RAVENNA website. First launched in late 2016, the RAV-2-SAP freeware conversion tool was designed to help connect RAVENNA-networked devices to other AES67 devices by providing a translation service between RAVENNA and SAP announcements to enable the exchange of Session Description Protocol (SDP) data between otherwise incompatible devices. The new release delivers some important new features in addition to some minor bug fixes.

Symetrix, the manufacturer of digital audio products for the installed sound market, announced its Radius NX 4x4 and Radius NX 12x8 1U rack-mount audio signal processors. Each model supports 128 (64x64) channels of redundant Dante network audio, including ultra-low-noise preamps with digitally controlled 3 dB gain steps. All that is needed for large networked audio fixed installations, including optional card expansions and optional AEC coprocessors for up to 16 channels of wide-band acoustic echo cancelling.
