Powersoft Premieres New-Look Website and Online Portal Resource

Powersoft has launched its fully overhauled website, with a clean new layout and simple navigation structure designed to help users to quickly and easily access essential information, while offering a comprehensive understanding of the company’s value proposition, technologies and solutions. The new website is also fully responsive, meaning that it is compatible with all browsers and can easily be navigated using any mobile devices.

GaN Systems published a document titled "GaN in Class-D Audio:Advantages with GaN Systems – a Comparative Look,” that reviews the various GaN and silicon transistor approaches in Class-D audio amplifier design techniques. The document identifies and compares the most popular GaN-based transistor and Silicon MOSFET solutions for high-performance Class-D amplifier applications, including the GaN Systems Class-D Amplifier and Companion SMPS Evaluation Kit.

Klippel announced an exciting cooperation with Nuvoton Technology, a leading provider of consumer-electronics and computer ICs from Taiwan, to release a new type of smart amplifier with integrated Klippel Controlled Sound (KCS) technology that compensates for nonlinear speaker responses. As a result of the project, Nuvoton developed the highly efficient mono Class D audio amplifier devices, NAU83G10 and NAU83G20. Both devices are now available.

GaN Systems, a company specialized in GaN (gallium nitride) power semiconductors, published a new technical document titled, “12V High-Efficiency Audio Reference Designs using GaN Power Transistors.” The technical note was developed following the launch of the new GaN Systems Class-D audio amplifier evaluation kit and from growing customer interest for designs in the 12V market for automotive, marine, powersports, and other applications from power system design engineers.

Powersoft expanded its range of rack mounted amplifiers for the installation market with new models in the Duecanali and Quattrocanali Series. Unveiled at the InfoComm 2020 Connected event, the two newest additions to the company's Duecanali and Quattrocanali lines have more power, add power-sharing features and deliver even more in the popular single rack 2 and 4 channel platforms. The Duecanali 6404 DSP+D and the Quattrocanali 8804 DSP+D bring 175 Vpeak performances into an extremely convenient package.

This project is a great suggestion for a new affordable high-end 2 x 40 W Class D audio amplifier implemented with a Hardware Attached on Top (HAT) board to connect onto a Raspberry Pi Zero platform, creating a solution ideally suited for DIY audio projects. On the other hand, this is a very clever way to promote the Merus amplifiers from Infineon and get a great number of developers and enthusiasts to actual use it, get to know it, and understand its advantages in a real audio project. STMicroelectronics announced the new FDA901 class-D audio amplifier IC, a new design that incorporates the world-class audio expertise of Japanese manufacturer of car audio equipment, Alps Alpine. The new ST chip aims to contribute to the creation of multi-function, high-fidelity car audio systems that fuse the high efficiency of class-D amplifiers with the high-quality sound of ST’s class-AB amplifiers.
