ALMA International Symposium & Expo Expands with InfoComm 2019

The Association of Loudspeaker Manufacturing & Acoustics (ALMA) International will promote its ALMA International Symposium & Expo (AISE) June 9–10, 2019, just prior to and in affiliation with InfoComm in Orlando, FL. The event will be a unique opportunity to expand the scope of ALMA's activities, bringing loudspeaker industry members together. ALMA has been working hard for AISE 2019 and confirmed activities include the first Speaker Builders Workshop. There are still opportunities for content and taking space available at the exhibition. As announced during the latest ALMA International Symposium & Expo 2018 (AISE), the Association of Loudspeaker Manufacturing and Acoustics (ALMA) International is moving its annual event to InfoComm in 2019, scheduled for 9-10 June in Orlando, Florida. ALMA is now pleased to announce a key education track for the upcoming AISE2019 (ALMA International Symposium & Expo) focusing on speaker building. More education initiatives and the full program of conferences, panels and tutorials, will be confirmed soon.

The Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association lowered the curtain on its first InfoComm show in North America as AVIXA. The InfoComm 2018 event kicked off with a record-setting TIDE conference and concluded with a trade show exhibition that attracted nearly 43,000 registered attendees, 10 percent more than the last time InfoComm was held in Las Vegas, in 2016. A promising prelude to next year's edition in Orlando, Florida.

With InfoComm 2018 already behind us, it's time to look forward, when the very first edition of the Association of Loudspeaker Manufacturing & Acoustics International (ALMA International) Symposium & Expo (AISE 2019), will take place June 9 & 10, 2019, at the Double Tree by Hilton Universal, concurrent with InfoComm 2019, which will be held June 8-14, 2019, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Precisely because of that, we thought it would be fit to properly remember AISE 2018, the last edition which was held this year for the last time in Las Vegas, just before CES.

Don't miss Mike Klasco's overview of the latest trends in Audio Digital Signal Processing, a review of a new "knurled diaphragm," patent for planar magnetic drivers, and a User Report on LOUDSOFT's FINE R+D Analyzer, which, from 2018, will be implemented into the Test Bench measurement protocol. ALMA International will promote the 2018 edition of its annual International Symposium & Expo 2018 (AISE), in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 6 – 7. The theme for AISE 2018 will be "The Revolution of the Audio Signal Chain," and ALMA is already picking up steam with its most dynamic seminar program ever. This two-day gathering, just prior to the largest consumer electronics industry trade show (CES), has to be high on the priorities for any loudspeaker industry professional.

The Loudspeaker Sourcing Show, now in its third year, will take place October 16–18, 2017, at the Nansha Grand Hotel, Guangzhou, China. This show is an all-inclusive solution for loudspeaker brand buyers, engineers, and their decision makers to meet directly with qualified loudspeaker factories over the course of this three-day event. A significant number of new manufacturers and industry associations, including the Audio Engineering Society, have already confirmed support to the event.

This edition focuses on Adhesive Joints and Cone Treatments and includes a special report on the latest new material options available and an updated directory of Adhesives, Coatings, and Sealant Providers. InfoComm, is North America's largest audio-visual trade show, and the 2017 edition attracted more than 40,000 visitors for the first time in its history. That's 13% more than the last time it was held in Orlando, in 2015, and 14% more than InfoComm 2016 in Las Vegas, NV. As the InfoComm International Association confirmed immediately following its InfoComm 2017 event, the show was another record-breaking moment for this thriving sector, which now combines much more than AV commercial integration.
