The Audio Engineering Society has announced the incoming Officers and Governors following the 2019 Board of Governors elections, with terms beginning January 1, 2020. The Society’s membership has elected Jonathan Wyner as President-Elect and re-elected Richard Wollrich as Treasurer.

Now solidly established as an annual tradition for the whole audio industry, and particularly for the professional audio sector, the International Audio Engineering Society Convention returns to New York City, October 16 – 19, at the Javits Center. Registration is now open, and as in previous years, the AES New York 2019 will be co-located with the independent NAB Show New York, open October 16-17 in an adjacent exhibition hall. AES New York registration includes access to both exhibition halls.

For years, many audiophiles and even some audio professionals have believed that signal wires can sound different. Obsessed with settling this dilemma, Winer designed a Null Tester device that compares any two signal wires and reveals their difference to a level below -110 dB.
