February 12, 1923-February 25, 2013 Edward Dell, founder and former publisher of Audio Amateur Inc., died Monday, February 25, 2013, at the age of 90. After launching the company’s flagship publication, The Audio Amateur, in 1970, Dell published a number of specialized titles covering a wealth of subjects in audio. In this Q&A, Charlie Hughes credits his success to knowledge, contacts, friendships, and his wife. He earned a physics degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in1988. After graduation he worked for Peavey Electronics in Meridian, MS as a loudspeaker design engineer where he remained for 14 years.
