Bridge Product from Hear Technologies Brings Waves SoundGrid Processing to Dante Networks

Waves Audio has joined forces with Hear Technologies, to develop the WSG Bridge solution. The cooperation between the digital audio processing and personal monitoring specialists, allows the use of Waves innovative networking and real-time processing platform - SoundGrid - directly integrated with Audinate’s Dante audio networking systems, currently dominating in the industry.

Digital signal processing solutions specialists, Waves Audio announced the introduction of SoundGrid Connect, a game-changing feature of its SoundGrid driver. With SoundGrid Connect, users can connect any ASIO/Core Audio-compatible audio interface to SoundGrid technology and dramatically boost the capacity of their system – run hundreds of plugins simultaneously, stream audio, record and mix from multiple computers and DAWs at the same time, and more.

At the 139th International AES Convention in New York, Waves Audio had much to show in all fronts of their rich product and technology portfolio. Among the announcements are cooperations with Hear Technologies to include Waves SoundGrid technology in the Hear Back PRO 16-Channel Personal Mixer System. Waves also announced that Flux:: plugins will run in Waves SoundGrid applications.

At the 2015 InfoComm Show in Orlando, FL, Waves Audio confirmed that its SoundGrid technology was adopted by Avid for its new VENUE S6L live sound console. A similar announcement was made by German company Lawo, who adopted the audio networking technology and Waves plug-ins for its mc2 consoles.

Waves Audio had much to show at the 137th AES Convention in Los Angeles, including many news to share regarding their plug-in range. But the focus for the company’s presence was undoubtedly their studio and live sound range of solutions, with continuous demos of the new SoundGrid Studio System and new DiGiGrid Advanced Audio Interfaces. Completely new was the Waves Tracks Live multitrack recording software.

This new networkable audio processing solution expands the original SoundGrid Audio-over-Ethernet technology and the DiGiGrid range of interfaces, originally developed in cooperation with DiGiCo for live sound applications, now directly for studio applications.

Crest Audio and Peavey Commercial Audio promoted at InfoComm 2014 its new Tactus Digital Mixing System, previously announced in 2013. Built in partnership with Waves, the new digital mixing platform combines high quality audio and custom channel configuration with the new Waves eMotion touch-screen mixer.
