Yamaha, Steinberg and Harrison Announce Sound-for-Film Strategic Alliance

Yamaha Corporation (Japan) and its wholly owned subsidiary Steinberg Media Technologies (Germany) have announced a three-company strategic alliance with large-format console manufacturer Harrison Audio (United States) to develop solutions for substantially improving the workflow in the sound-for-film industry.

As promised, Steinberg released the new version of their award-winning audio post-production software. Nuendo 7 includes seamless integration with Audiokinetic Wwise middleware for game production, in-built re-conforming solution for audio-to-picture post work, VCA fader support, advanced project collaboration tools, brand-new rendering options and much more.

Following a preliminary presentation in Japan, at the InterBEE 2014 Show and the presentation at the Prolight+Sound 2015 in Frankfurt, Yamaha Professional Audio has announced that the new Rivage PM10 Digital Mixing Console will make its US debut at the InfoComm 2015 show, in Orlando. And Rivage will also work with the soon to be released Steinberg Nuendo 7.

Steinberg has announced it will preview the new version of its professional DAW solution, Nuendo 7 at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. Partnering up with audio for games solutions specialist Audiokinetic at this year’s GDC, Steinberg will reveal the next iteration of Nuendo with many new features, including seamless connection to Audiokinetic Wwise Audio Middleware and focus on game audio.

Synchro Arts has released Revoice Pro 2.6 voice processing, track doubles and ADR software with better support for Steinberg’s Cubase and Nuendo DAWs, speed improvements for Pro Tools 11 in Windows systems, and several various improvements.

VST Connect Performer for iPad is a new app from Steinberg, complementing the previously announced VST Connect Performer tools available in Cubase versions 7.5 and 7 and Nuendo versions 6.5 and 6, for real time collaboration over the Internet. The new app allows musicians to record remote performances using only an iPad.
