B&C Speakers Takes Direct Control of Product Distribution in China

One the eve of Prolight+Sound Guangzhou, one of large pro audio trade shows in China, B&C Speakers announced a significant distribution change in its operations in China. The B&C Group, now incorporating B&C Speakers, Eighteen Sound, Ciare and Eminence, confirmed it will be taking direct control of all B&C Speaker product distribution in China, effective July 1,2024. The group recently reinforced its manufacturing and logistical operations in the region with the acquisition of Eminence.

B&C Speakers, one of the leading loudspeaker manufacturers for professional audio applications, based in Florence, Italy, announced that it has acquired 100% of Kentucky-based Eminence Speaker, LLC, the manufacturer of professional audio and guitar amplification loudspeakers, and its manufacturing facilities in Dongguan, China. According to B&C Speakers' CEO Lorenzo Coppini, this acquisition will strengthen the company's global reach, while "creating an opportunity to relaunch and enhance an iconic American brand."

Eminence announced the addition of a new Global Standard Series of loudspeakers to its international catalog, with future availability pending for USA customers. The new series of speakers includes a range of Retro guitar amp speakers in the traditional 12" size, Retrobass woofers in 10" and 15" sizes, and six new speaker drivers for sound reinforcement applications in sizes from 6" to 15." All combining premium quality and high performance at an affordable price.

PureAudioProject just confirmed that its latest Trio15 configuration is now available for pre-order. As Ze'ev (Wolf) Schlik, the founder of the modular speaker company explains, the Trio15 Coax10 project is a step closer to the realization of its original vision. This Test Bench focuses on a very special new Eminence product, the new N314X 1.4" compression driver. The N314X is the first compression driver that uses TeXtreme composite for a diaphragm. TeXtreme thin-ply carbon is a novel type of material that is used in applications that require a high degree of stiffness performance in combination with ultralight weight. Designed for use with 1.4” throat horns, the N314X compression driver has a 35.6 mm (1.4”) throat diameter driven by a 3" diameter voice coil wound with round copper-clad aluminum wire (CCAW) on a non-conducting polyimide former driving the TeXtreme diaphragm and PEN surround.
