Celestion Expands Ferrite Magnet CF Range with CF1230F and CF1540HD Cast Aluminum LF Drivers

At Prolight+Sound 2018 (April 10-13), Celestion announced two new additions to its CF range of high-quality cast-aluminum, ferrite-magnet drivers for demanding tour sound and fixed install applications. At the Frankfurt show Celestion introduced the 12-inch CF1230F and the 15-inch CF1540HD low frequency woofers, offering further options for manufacturers designing two or three way systems and extended bass response sound reinforcement solutions.

Now Sound Devices confirmed the practical result of the partnership with the launch of its MixPre-6/MixPre-10T portable audio recorders, which will help professionals record and monitor high-quality 360 spatial audio for video. The two companies are showing the first AMBEO-certified portable audio recorders with binaural monitoring at NAB 2018.

RME announced new Digiface Dante and Digiface AVB mobile audio interfaces during NAB 2018 (Las Vegas, April 9–12). The German manufacturer expanded the broadcast community’s connectivity options with the Digiface Dante audio interface that enables the transmission of up to 64 Dante channels and 64 MADI channels via a single USB 3.0 connection, while the Digiface AVB enables the transmission of up to 256 network audio channels.

First the company announced that with the availability of Dante firmware 4.1 for the Ultimo UXT family of audio networking chipsets, the full platform of implementation solutions for manufacturers now supports the AES67 interoperability standard.
