Noble Audio Launches Falcon Max Premium TWS Earbuds with xMEMS Drivers

December 13 2023, 00:35
Noble Audio designs some of the finest universal and custom in-ear monitors available, primarily targeting personal audio enthusiasts and performing musicians. The company's latest innovation for a broader consumer market are the new Falcon Max True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds featuring a hybrid arrangement with MEMS-based drivers from xMEMS Labs, in a dual mode Bluetooth Classic/LE Audio design with aptX Adaptive and LDAC support.

Since 2018, Texas-based Noble Audio has introduced in-earphones with a hybrid structure using various types of drivers. As an example, Noble's Kublai Khan IEM, which has received numerous audio awards, utilizes dynamic drivers, balanced armature drivers, a bone conductor, and a piezoelectric super tweeter. Noble's long experience of tuning a variety of drivers incorporated into a single IEM have been put to great use in the adoption of xMEMS’ MEMS drivers. Another great example of how xMEMS has succeeded in delivering differentiation with its solid-state, all-silicon drivers.

Through a strategic partnership with xMEMS, Noble's latest Falcon Max will be among the market’s first TWS earbuds to adopt xMEMS' cutting-edge MEMS speaker technology, making the company stand-out as a pioneer in portable "Solid-State Fidelity" audio experiences. The company praises the results achieved with the xMEMS' drivers as "delivering exceptional sound quality, phase coherence, and treble extension."

The hybrid driver configuration consists of the xMEMS Cowell tweeter, the world’s smallest monolithic MEMS microspeaker at just 22mm, and a 10mm diameter high performance dynamic driver for low frequencies. Together, this hybrid combination ensures precise, high fidelity, high-resolution audio across the entire frequency range.

This latest version of Noble's fully wireless earbuds incorporates a variety of the latest technologies that also push Noble's "sound quality-first" philosophy to the next level. In addition to the xMEMS drivers, the Falcon Max earbuds leverage Qualcomm's latest SoC, which makes the model compatible with aptX Adaptive, to which the company added Sony's LDAC high-resolution wireless audio codec.

The Falcon Max earbuds are the most recent outcome of Noble's "Trinity design principle" that emphasizes the selection of drivers, SoC, and codecs to ensure best-in-class performance. The SoC used is the Qualcomm's QCC5171 (Qualcomm S5 Sound Platform), which doubles computing performance while reducing power consumption by 20% compared to previous products.

The Falcon Max earbuds are also the first Noble Audio product to support Bluetooth 5.3 in dual mode (classic and LE Audio), and LDAC high-resolution wireless. There’s also support for Qualcomm's quality certification "Snapdragon Sound”, AAC, aptX adaptive (24-bit/96kHz, Lossless), and obviously SBC in Bluetooth Classic and LC3 for LE-Audio. In another first for the company, Noble Audio will procure high-resolution wireless certification for Falcon Max.

The Falcon Max sound signature was professionally tuned by Noble Audio acoustic designers, leveraging their years of expertise working on award winning premium IEMs. No question that the Falcon Max design is able to deliver a premium audio experience. And yet, users will be able to customize settings and EQ with a dedicated control app, something that the xMEMS drivers enable with particular effectiveness.

But Noble Audio also added valuable additional features such as 3rd generation Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which improves comfort and sound quality by dynamically adjusting the noise cancellation effect in real-time according to the user's body movements and the surrounding environment. Obviously, given the platform used for the model, the Falcon Max earbuds support Bluetooth multipoint connection for up to two devices and multi-pairing, aptX Voice for crystal clear speech quality

The Qualcomm QCC5171 comes with 4th generation "High Precision Connect Technology" and "True Wireless Mirroring Technology" for high connection stability. The wireless charging case also comes with multi-function buttons and USB Type-C port with fast-charging. The package includes foam tips for high sound insulation and comfort.

The Noble Audio Falcon Max will start shipping December 18, 2023 with an MSRP of $270 USD.
