Beyma Introduces Multiple New Products at ISE 2025

February 18 2025, 02:10
Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) is increasingly the trade show where speaker driver manufacturers in the pro audio segment present their new designs and announce new base models and innovations. During ISE 2025, Beyma introduced many new products that update its range to make it more competitive and broader. Among the new products are a new 14" woofer, two waveguides for line arrays, two new horns, and new compression drivers, expanding the CD family presented in 2023.

The Beyma 14MLEX1000Nd is the first model in a new woofer family that updates and improves on Beyma's P80 range. The new MLEX family will combine the company's Malt Cross cooling technology with the multiple innovations introduced with Beyma's acclaimed LEX subwoofer series, all for the first time in the same design. According to the Valencia, Spain-based company, the sophisticated design creates a new high-performance transducer for professional audio applications that includes a 4" voice coil wound with a dual layer of copper wire (in/out), capable of providing sensitivities greater than 100dB and supporting 1000W AES.

Optimized for high-performance bass or midbass applications with an extended Xmax of ±11mm and 60mm peak-to-peak excursion before damage, the Beyma 14MLEX1000Nd woofer will target new high-performance systems, whether point source, line arrays, or stage monitors. Its high SPL capacity, ultra-low distortion, along with low-frequency performance, makes it ideal for very efficient systems with wide frequency response.

With a combination of sensitivity, power, and outstanding SPL output, the 14MLEX1000ND woofer is a new high-quality option from Beyma for point sources, line arrays, and monitors.
And following the SG-6 Waveguide that Beyma introduced in 2024, this year the company expanded the possibilities with the SG6.1 with a one-inch mouth, and the SG-8 which, like its predecessor, has a 1.4" exit. Thanks to the development of the SG-6, Beyma now perfected a design method for even more compact waveguides, while maintaining the excellent polar characteristics and the same isophasic wave front at the rectangular output. The SG-6.1 waveguide is designed for 6" speakers and the SG-8 with 8" speakers, but Beyma doesn't rule out applications in 12 or 15-inch 3-way systems. Both waveguides use reinforced polycarbonate, the material that Beyma has verified to offer very high resistance to impacts, with excellent acoustic performance.

Likewise, the new TD-1464P and TD-1496P 1.4" exit horns were developed with the latest finite element software technologies and include 60x40 and 90x60-degree rotatable coverages. All are made in reinforced polycarbonate for higher resistance and lighter weight, allowing precise control of directivity.

New additions to the new Beyma waveguide range, with 1" and 1.4" exits, these two new ultra-compact horns offer multiple possibilities for 6, 8, 12, and 15" line arrays.
The TD-1464P and TD-1496P are two new FEM-designed 1.4" horns designed by Beyma in rotatable format, offering perfect constant directivity.

New Beyma Compression Drivers
No doubt, the highlight from Beyma for 2025 is the expanding range of compact compression drivers in the company's CD family. The portfolio now includes two new 2" mouth and 3" coil motors, models CD230Nd/Ti and CD230Fe/Ti for the Neo and ferrite variations, which are complemented with a new 1" platform that is now applied in the CD101Nd/PT, CD101Nd/PK, CD101Fe/PT, and CD101Fe/PK compression drivers.

The CD320Nd/Ti and CD320Fe/Ti 2" exit and 3" voice coil compression drivers are high-performance options for multiway and line array systems, offering superior SPL.
In total, this adds six new premium references to Beyma's standard product catalog in the high-frequency range, all of which expand on Beyma's patent-pending technologies, Deplocex and VPEQ. Deplocex enables improved thermal dissipation and low-power compression losses, providing higher sound pressure levels in operation. The drastic reduction in distortion also results in the highest-quality reproduction, which is enhanced with Beyma's VPEQ patent-pending technology.

The CD101 platform is based on the company's existing CD151 design and includes a modern annular diaphragm and Beyma's exclusive VPEQ technology that linearizes the response of compression drivers through slight variations in their output ducts, producing not only a more linear response but also an increase in sound pressure level and a decrease in distortion.

In the one-inch versions, Beyma offers advanced polyester (PT) and high-temperature polymer (PK) diaphragms, which, due to their mechanical characteristics, have different timbres and allow manufacturers to choose a frequency response that is more appropriate for their application. These compact compression drivers are ideal for vertical columns, compact arrays, and small monitors where high efficiency and extremely linear response are needed.
