About Brewster LaMacchia
Brewster LaMacchia started in signal processing working on military satellite communications systems. Since then, he’s worked on a wide range of signal processing systems, including spending several years on video processing and surround sound audio for consumer home theaters. He started Clockworks Signal Processing (Lawrence, MA) to develop both off-the-shelf and custom hardware and systems for multichannel signal processing. Brewster also dedicates time to public astronomy events to expose people to science and critical thinking. In the past decade he’s helped thousands of people look through a telescope to see everything from craters on the moon to galaxies millions of light years away for the first time.
