Volareo, The Indie Smart Speaker Launches on Indiegogo

Volareo, a different type of smart speaker, launched on crowdfunding site Indiegogo. Starting from $99USD for the early bird special, Volareo is being introduced as “the 1st independent smart speaker supporting open source to integrate with blockchain streaming platforms,” “backed by blockchain technology and AI.” While that sequence of buzzwords doesn’t actually say much about what makes Volareo different, saying that it interfaces with platforms where artists are paid directly and immediately for their songs played, makes it much more interesting.

Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) is officially moving to Barcelona in 2021. The news was confirmed anticipating a scheduled formal press event to signal the agreement between Integrated Systems Events (the promoter of ISE), the Ajuntament de Barcelona (city council), the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and the Fira de Barcelona. The official presentation ceremony took place at the Barcelona historical Saló de Cent, or the Great Hall of the City Council, on July 19.
