Zoom Launches New F6 32-bit MultiTrack Field Recorder

First unveiled at the NAB 2019 show in Las Vegas, Zoom confirmed the final specifications and shipping schedule for its new F6 multitrack field recorder and mixer. In this compact but extremely powerful design, Zoom combined the latest 32-bit recording technology with the most popular features of its pro-grade Zoom F8n recorder. This allows incredible possibilities for any production that needs a very compact solution in the field and recording audio with very high quality.

Dayton Audio announced its WFA400 4-Zone Wi-Fi Audio Receiver is now able to support wireless, whole-home, multi-room and multi-user streaming thanks to its integration with the new Hi-Fly app for iOS and Android. With the new mobile app integration, the WFA400 provides total control over a whole home audio system right from the user's phone or tablet. And the new Dayton Audio Hi-Fly App turns any mobile device into a fully-featured remote control for all Dayton Audio Hi-Fly enabled devices.

NEXO released a new version of its NeMo system management software, making it available for the first time on the macOS platform and introducing premium features and functionality for operational control of NEXO systems. The software allows remote control and monitoring of amplifiers over a wireless network. It also makes it easier to exploit advanced sensing functions in the PNEXO NXAMP controller-amplifiers which help protect loudspeaker cabinets.

Mackie launched FreePlay Connect, a powerful iOS and Android control app for Mackie’s FreePlay Personal PA speaker system with integrated four-channel digital mixing. Ideal for solo performers and corporate events, the app allows wireless control over all aspects of audio signals.

The new Yamaha TF series digital consoles are now shipping. Concurrent with their availability, Yamaha launched the TF StageMix, a free iPad app that provides wireless remote control of TF digital mixing console functions via a simple, intuitive graphical interface. It makes setups faster and lets engineers adjust monitor mixes anywhere they need to be.

Task-specific audio interface developer Cymatic Audio announced the uTrack24 MADI Module, a user-installable MADI (Multichannel Audio Digital Interface) option card for its 19-inch rack-mountable uTrack24 24-track recorder, player, and interface. Cymatic Audio also released the new “uRemote” app for iOS, complementing the existing uTool apps for OS X and Windows.
