Knowles Supertweeters Power New EarSonics Precision In-Ear Monitors

French in-ear monitor specialist EarSonics has selected Knowles to provide balanced armature (BA) drivers for its new EM96 Customizable In-Ear Monitor (IEM). Now available, the EM96 is the first IEM from a European manufacturer to utilize two Knowles Supertweeters, working alongside two Knowles woofers and two mid-range BA drivers for a three-way crossover. Leveraging Knowles' patented coil design and high-stiffness, low-mass reed, the Supertweeter achieves an exceptional treble frequency extension without additional amplification.

Technical Audio Devices Laboratories (TAD Labs) announced the TAD-GE1 (Grand Evolution One) speaker system as the newest addition to its Evolution Series of hifi audio components. Borrowing internal technology and design language from TAD’s top-of-the-line Reference TX Series as well as the distinguished wood-grain finish of the standmount CE1TX speakers, the new GE1 floorstanding speakers feature a coaxial driver with a magnesium diaphragm midrange and beryllium tweeter, and second generation multi-layered aramid composite woofers.

Test Bench: The PTT6.5M08-NFA-01 6.5" Midrange from Purifi Audio

The PTT6.5M08-NFA-01 6.5" Midrange is the fourth woofer from Purifi Audio to be examined in Test Bench. This midrange is pretty much identical to the previously examined PTT6.5X and PTT4.0X woofers, and includes the same constant Sd surround, cone edge stiffening ring, and low magnetic hysteresis motor design. However, the PTT6.5M08-NFA-01 is optimized to have higher efficiency (91dB at 2.83V8/1m) for use with multiple woofer three-way design configurations. Mesanovic CDM65 Studio Monitor Speaker Earns WiSA HT Interoperability Certification

WiSA Association announced that its member company Mesanovic has earned the WiSA HT Interoperability Certification with its new CDM65 Controlled Directivity Monitor speaker. The CDM65 is an active three-way state-of-the-art speaker design, with built-in digital signal processing and the ability to receive wireless audio from any WiSA transmitter, like the WiSA SoundSend. This allows the CDM65 to be paired up to a 7.1 setup. The system will ship in May 2023 and is available for pre-order.

PSI Audio Updates Flagship Three-Way A25-M Studio Monitors for 2021

Swiss manufacturer PSI Audio announced a new version of its flagship three-way speaker A25-M for 2021. Following on the improvements announced in 2019 with the flow guide introduced in the A23-M monitor, and a larger, more powerful woofer engine, the A25-M boasts an entirely new midrange driver. The Extended Dome Driver (EXD) combines a larger dome and new cone formula, effectively offering the best of both worlds in the process. The new driver system is still mounted to a rotatable baffle to enable vertical or horizontal speaker placement at optimum dispersion.
