Following a successful premier at IBC2018 in Amsterdam, German audio network and interconnectivity specialist DirectOut Technologies will showcase the first member of its new flagship interface series at AES New York and NAB NY (October 17–19). The company will make the US debut for DirectOut’s new PRODIGY.MC modular audio converter and audio router, while supporting the IP showcase at the NY events. BACH Liberty features a fully compliant AES67 and ST2110 implementation, complete with full-stack support of RAVENNA, Dante/SAP, Livewire+, NMOS and various other network protocols and control solutions. Equipment manufacturers no longer have to wait for full AES67 and ST2110 compliance, nor tie themselves to a single supplier for their audio networking technology.

RAVENNA Improves Session Description Protocol Features with Release of Latest RAV-2-SAP Converter

A new version of the RAVENNA-to-SAP (RAV-2-SAP) conversion tool has just been released and is available for download from the RAVENNA website. First launched in late 2016, the RAV-2-SAP freeware conversion tool was designed to help connect RAVENNA-networked devices to other AES67 devices by providing a translation service between RAVENNA and SAP announcements to enable the exchange of Session Description Protocol (SDP) data between otherwise incompatible devices. The new release delivers some important new features in addition to some minor bug fixes.

Audinate Announces AES67 Support for Dante Ultimo Chipsets at NAB 2018

Audinate is determined to consolidate its Dante media networking technology as the broadcast industry transitions to full IP infrastructures. First the company announced that with the availability of Dante firmware 4.1 for the Ultimo UXT family of audio networking chipsets, the full platform of implementation solutions for manufacturers now supports the AES67 interoperability standard. And Audinate also announced plans to support SMPTE ST-2110 in the Dante platform by the end of 2018.
