59th AES Conference on Sound Reinforcement, July 15-17, 2015

The Audio Engineering Society (AES) will hold its 59th International Conference, focusing on Sound Reinforcement Engineering and Technology, on July 15-17, 2015, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This is the first AES International Conference to focus on Sound Reinforcement in over 25 years.

Tannoy introduced a new full range Dual Concentric loudspeaker to its VX Series of premium grade passive sound reinforcement solutions. The new compact VX 8M is a versatile solution with a tightly controlled 90 degree dispersion for optimum coverage and forward gain, and a peak output of 119dB. The largest Meyer Sound LYON linear sound reinforcement system ever assembled was heard this summer at Telenor Arena in Oslo, Norway. Provided by Bright Norway AS, the 360-degree system entertained 8,500 employees of Scandinavian supermarket chain REMA 1000 with performances by Norwegian musicians Karpe Diem, D.D.E., and Kurt Nilsen.
