DSP Concepts Announces TalkTo Microphone Processing Technology for Voice-Controlled Products

DSP Concepts has launched TalkTo, a new brand and a major expansion of its voice recognition technologies. TalkTo is a family of software-based Audio Front Ends for voice-controlled products. It uses advanced microphone processing and machine learning techniques to deliver highly reliable voice control, even in high-noise environments and with multichannel audio products. According to the company, TakTo will enable voice interfaces even in the most difficult classes of products, like TVs and soundbars.

Embedded World 2019 Breaks New Records in Exhibitor Numbers

In its 17th year, embedded world, Nuremberg, Germany, once again impressed the global embedded electronics community. The results for visitor and exhibitor numbers and display area confirmed around 31,000 trade visitors, the second best visitor total since the trade fair began, and 1,117 companies from all over the world flocked to the 8% larger display area at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg.

Following the announcement in February 2018 of the launch of Global English, a single English language pack supporting all major English accents for use in speech-to-text transcription, speech recognition technology specialists Speechmatics have now announced its Next Generation languages update, which the company says brings an improved accuracy of up to 16% across many of its core languages, thanks to the use of new machine learning algorithms.

When we look at Adobe's portfolio of solutions, in a family of 21 core software programs, there is one for audio: Adobe Audition. Audition, used for audio recording, mixing, and restoration software, was acquired from Syntrillium Software in 2003 and was previously known as Cool Edit Pro.
