Acon Digital Releases Noise Reduction for Dialogue Plug-in

December 14 2020, 00:25
Acon Digital has released Extract:Dialogue, a plug-in that separates dialogue from common types of background noise such as wind, rustle, traffic, hum, clicks and pops. The algorithm works in real time and is based on deep learning, using thousands of high-quality voice recordings and an equally extensive set of common noise sources. This extensive training enables the software to automatically distinguish speech and dialogue from noise, without any user interaction.

Despite its fully automatic noise reduction abilities, the plug-in interface also offers simple controls to adjust the sensitivity of the noise detection and the maximum noise attenuation. The sensitivity can also be adjusted independently in up to three frequency bands, while an attenuation control allows reducing the noise without removing it completely. All the plug-in control parameters can be fully automated.

The plug-in also features a spectrum analyzer for input audio and removed noise, a preset manager and a large number of factory presets, ability for users to save, load and categorize user presets, and the graphic interface window is fully resizable.

Acon Digital Extract:Dialogue ($99.90 USD) is available for both Windows (PC) and macOS in VST, VST3, AAX Native / AudioSuite and Audio Units (macOS only). Both 32 and 64-bit versions are available for Windows - the macOS plug-in is already 64-bit.

The upcoming version 7.3 of Acon's Acoustica Premium Edition, the company's professional editing, mastering will also include Extract:Dialogue and current owners of the Premium Edition can download and authorize Extract:Dialogue with their Acoustica Premium Edition 7.x license key.
