PSI Audio to Introduce Héritage3 Active Home Speakers at High End 2019

Following prior demonstrations in prototype stage, Swiss speaker manufacturer PSI Audio has confirmed it will introduce officially the Héritage3, the company's first home entertainment speaker, during the High End Munich show. Visitors to the the High End and Axpona shows in 2018 have already experienced a glimpse of the company's purposely designed hi-fidelity speaker, based on the technological prowess and expertise of more than 40 years of developing professional speakers and studio monitors.

MUTEC, the Berlin-based manufacturer of high-quality A/V master clocks, audio re-clockers, interfaces, format converters, and signal distributors for professional and high end consumer audio applications, announced that the MC-3+ Smart Clock USB Re-Clocker and USB audio interface is now officially approved as a Roon Tested device. This certification program ensures a consistently enjoyable listening experience with the Roon music playback software, and underlines MUTEC’s commitment to high-end computer audio.

More than ever, the act of listening to music is one of life’s simple pleasures. Martin Bell and JAVA Hi-Fi co-founders Shane Inder and Martin Young, set themselves the challenge of creating a range of audio separates that would capture the intangible, soulful essence of music. Sound Performance Lab (SPL) is one of those companies always ready to surprise. The German company apparently introduced a new version in its Phonitor range of headphone amplifiers, which already included the Phonitor x, the Phonitor e, and the Phonitor 2 (which followed the original Phonitor). The important thing is that the Phoniter xe is the Headphone Amplifier that many where hoping the company would launch and it will be presented at the High End 2019 show in Munich.

UK loudspeaker manufacturer PMC has deployed its unprecedented access to leading artists, studios and record labels to give visitors at the High End Munich show a unique demonstration of Dolby Atmos music. Among the delights in store for High End visitors is a Dolby Atmos mix of Miles Davis’ certified quadruple platinum jazz album "Kind of Blue," as well as the Grammy Award winning album for Best Original Jazz Composition, "Sketches of Spain," reproduced in immersive audio using PMC's fact fenestria flagship speakers.

A new Danish company, founded by Bruno Putzeys, Lars Risbo, and Peter Lyngdorf will be making its first public presentation to the industry in Munich 9-12 May, concurrently with High End 2019. The name is Purifi Audio, and as you can guess from the founders involved, the venture promises Class D amplifiers with record-breaking performance "unmatched by amplifiers of any operating class." But the new company will be doing more than amplifiers, since it will also reveal a new 6.5" woofer with "magnitudes lower intermodulation distortion across frequency and SPL."

From May 9-12 2019, Munich will be once again the meeting place for all those interested in getting up to speed on the latest products related to high-end, consumer and lifestyle audio. As the global meeting-place for the hi-fidelity audio industry, the High End 2019 Show is now fully booked. The entire capacity of the exhibition grounds, which cover an impressive area of 29,000 square meters, is now completely filled. And companies have already started to pre-announce their product launches for show!

Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation (AKM) will show its latest flagship Velvet Sound Verita AK4499 32-bit audio D/A Converter (DAC) at the High End 2019 show in Munich, Germany. A newly developed IC manufacturing process was adopted in this flagship DAC to deliver the best sound quality so far in the company's range of products, achieving -124dB THD+N and 140dB S/N. The AK4499 is also the first among AKM products to use a new current output architecture. AKM will also demonstrate its new ultra-low power HiFi D/A converters for Bluetooth headphones, AK4331 (stereo) and AK4332 (mono).
