The Satori MW19TX-8 TPCD cone 7.5" woofer is the fourth TPCD diaphragm transducer to be explicated in Test Bench, the first being an Eminence compression driver and the remaining all woofers from SB Acoustics. The high-end MW19TX-8 has a substantial feature set with similar features as the rest of Satori series with TPCD cones, impressing immediately by its distinctive cosmetics and subjective performance, which this characterization illustrates.

The Satori MW13TX-4 TPCD cone 5” woofer is the fourth TPCD diaphragm transducer to be explicated in Test Bench, and this one has a substantial feature set, including a single piece bowl-shaped TPCD cone and NBR surround. The new release of LoudSoft's FINECone 2020 software is a welcome and important update for the loudspeaker industry. LoudSoft seems to have listened to its customers and added a new Geometry Modeler, which makes simulating cone frequency response much easier for engineers using FINECone. FINECone is an acoustic Finite Element dome/cone simulation application to assist on the design of new drivers, calculating frequency responses and detecting problems in existing designs.

Following the announcement in early March 2019 of a completely new Excel Graphene Woofer Series and the commercial introduction of the new W16NX003 E0073-08 driver, the first in the new Excel Graphene series, SEAS Fabrikker now announced a completely new product-size series as part of the new Excel Graphene product line. Named the 19-series, the new woofers are classical 176 mm in diameter, but with a new basket design and larger roll surround, with focus on improved linear excursion capability and dynamic headroom in the bass.
