Steinberg Releases Significantly Updated Cubase 13 Software

Cubase is one of the original DAW solutions, developed in 1989 by Steinberg, originally as a MIDI sequencer for Atari computers. As it gained audio recording and editing capabilities, the software became a favorite for music production. Now, with Steinberg close to celebrating 20 years since it was acquired by Yamaha Corporation, the German software specialist releases the latest version of Cubase with significant user interface redesigns, new features and workflow enhancements for composing, producing, and mixing.

PreSonus unveiled Studio One 5.0 for macOS and Windows. The audio and music production software is now even more powerful and more integrated, supporting new workflows. As usual with PreSonus updates, it offers a combination of major new features and many of the most requested features top the list of additions and improvements. PreSonus also designed a completely new integrated environment for live production, added cloud collaboration, and expanded the composition and notation tools.

German software company Steinberg, part of Yamaha, officially unveiled the highly anticipated release of the latest version of its award-winning DAW: Cubase 10. The latest iterations of Steinberg’s music production software, Cubase Pro 10, Cubase Artist 10, and Cubase Elements 10, combine best audio quality and with a vast range of advanced audio and MIDI tools for composing, recording, editing and mixing music.

There are hundreds of innovative apps for iOS and Android devices, with many featuring advanced composition and recording tools. Swedish company AmpTrack Technologies just released their new mobile app HumBeatz, that lets users hum, whistle or beatbox and turn those sounds into a musical instrument. With HumBeatz, the vocal sounds can be used to easily and quickly create a bass line, drum groove, trumpet riff or other sounds, for creating musical parts, loops, stems or song sketches.

It’s a new era for Avid, now with Jeff Rosica as Avid new CEO and President. Of course the completely new generation of products announced at NAB 2018 (Las Vegas, April 9-12) is the result of years of preparation, but the way this latest wave of innovation was announced at the Avid Connect 2018 event is already a sign of changes in the company. Essentially, Avid is accelerating the delivery of new tools, apps, services, and solutions for creative professionals and media companies.

Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH announced the immediate availability of Cubase Pro 8 and Cubase Artist 8. The latest iterations of Steinberg’s music production systems have better audio quality thanks to a complete audio engine rebuild with up to 192 kHz support, adding an endless number of advanced audio and MIDI tools for composition, recording, editing and mixing.
