Resonado Partners with Parts Express to Make Res-Core Woofer Available Direct to Consumers

Resonado Labs announced that, for the first time ever, its technology is now available directly to the public. Previously, Resonado's high-performance racetrack drivers, featuring the proprietary Res-Core architecture, were exclusively offered to companies through licensed manufacturers. Meeting requests from speaker builders and developers, Resonado partnered with Parts Express to make the NW7 Gen 1 racetrack woofer directly available to the market.

Test Bench: The E180HE-44 Full-Range Subwoofer from the Dayton Audio Epique Line

In this article, Vance Dickason characterizes the E180HE-44 woofer, from the Dayton Audio Epique lineup. As with the E150HE from the same range, the E180HE-44 uses the patented Multiple Magnet Air Gap (MMAG) technology, invented by Enrique Stiles and patented by Step Technologies. The E180HE is a scaled up (7") version of the E150HE, and has a similar feature set but with a secondary magnet system comprised of six ferrite disks, which act as magnetic “diodes” pulling the flux from the main magnet into the top 7mm gap. ALTI Association celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2021 and the landmark moment was acknowledged during ALTI Expo 2022, after two years of global pandemic. The celebration was an important reminder of the importance of keeping the industry together for everyone that attended the event.

This Test Bench explication focuses on the Dayton Audio Epique MMAG E150HE-44 "full-range subwoofer," in itself an interesting concept. Like its larger E180HE-44 brother in the Epique line, the E150HE-44 is based on the patented Multiple Magnet Air Gap (MMAG) technology invented by Enrique Stiles. The two new Dayton Audio Epique MMAG woofers were designed with direct support by Enrique as an independent transducer engineering consultant, working in conjunction with the engineering team at Dayton Audio.
