The latest version of COMSOL Multiphysics features COMSOL Compiler, giving specialists the freedom to distribute their simulation applications through executable files, and the Composite Materials Module for layered structures analysis. For acoustics modeling applications, the update introduces acoustic ports and nonlinear acoustics Westervelt model.

Celestion Debuts F12-X200 Full-Range Guitar Loudspeaker Designed Specifically for Use with Amp Modeling

During NAMM 2018, Celestion announced the F12-X200, the first guitarist’s speaker designed from the ground up for use with guitar amp and speaker cabinet emulations. The new F12-X200 is effectively a coaxial design, combining a compression driver and a 12" woofer in a pressed steel chassis with a 2" round copper voice coil and ceramic magnet, able to reproduce a full range of frequencies from 60 Hz to 20,000Hz, with a power rating of 200W at 8Ω and 96dB sensitivity.
