Devialet Unveils New Phantom Reactor Matte Black

In an effort to reenergize its global marketing endeavours, French audio manufacturer Devialet has announced a new version of its smallest Phantom speaker, introducing for the first time a Phantom Reactor 600 in matte black. The most compact and affordable in the Devialet range, the new Phantom Reactor Matte Black is also the most technologically advanced, delivering the same impressive sound for just $1,090.

Altice USA, the American arm of the French telecommunications conglomerate, unveiled Altice Amplify, an Alexa-powered smart speaker developed in collaboration with French connected-speaker pioneers Devialet. Directly targeted at the booming North-America smart speaker market, the Altice Amplify introduces "an intelligent, high-fidelity home speaker that powers the connected home." Of course, Altice didn't discard the audio quality argument and worked with Devialet to design a true high-fidelity system.

Devialet, the pioneering French technology brand, unveiled the Phantom Reactor, an ultra-compact version of its famous Phantom speaker that still delivers up to 900 watts of power and very high fidelity, with prices starting at $999. The company calls the Reactor "a new pinnacle in audio engineering," and states that, like its predecessor, the new "Phantom Reactor embodies the brand's progressive vision of making the emotional power of sound accessible to as many people as possible through ground-breaking technology."

Acclaimed French audio manufacturer Devialet, announced a fundraise of $106 million in capital through a co-investment led by Ginko Ventures with participation from international industrial and institutional investors including Foxconn, Groupe Renault, Sharp Corporation, Playground Global, Naver, Roc Nation, Future French Champions, CM-CIC Investissement and Bpifrance. Devialet has raised $160 million to-date.

Devialet convinced Apple to sell its revolutionary Phantom speaker in Apple Stores worldwide. Devialet signaled the honor with the launch of a rose gold version, which serves not only to match the rose gold iPhone or iPad. In fact, the Phantom Gold introduces a new Phantom reference model, with 4,500 watts and improved specifications, such as an improved response from 14Hz to 27kHz and only .0005% THD. A new pinnacle from a speaker project involving 88 patents that costed $30M to develop.
