Waterfall Audio Launches Niagara XT Loudspeaker Range at ISE 2024

December 18 2023, 02:10
For ISE 2024, Waterfall Audio is planning the launch of a brand-new range of exclusive glass loudspeakers, expanding the number of solutions from its specialized installation product portfolio. The French speaker specialist from Carcès en Provence will celebrate the 20th edition of the systems integration show with the launch of the Niagara XT range of glass speakers for luxury residential projects, featuring new wood horns and new Jetstream damping technology.

Many companies in the pro audio and installation sectors are already gearing up for the upcoming 2024 shows, with the Barcelona mammoth event that is now Integration Systems Europe (January 30 - February 2) becoming a strategic opportunity for many specialized audio companies to present their latest designs.

Waterfall Audio is a French company established in 1996 by Cedric Aubriot, the current CEO. From the start, Waterfall positioned itself in a "niche" segment of the market with its innovating concept of a speaker made of glass. Marketing and sales of the first products started in November 1999 following 4 years of intensive research and development. Waterfall Audio is closely associated to Atohm, a French company founded by Thierry Comte, and a renowned driver and speaker kits manufacturer located near Besançon.

Using very sophisticated manufacturing processes for glass cutting with precision near 100 microns, Waterfall Audio mastered the art of glass assembly. In the course of the development of its patented technologies - Acoustic Damping Tube and Heatstream - Waterfall has successfully received the support of 5 different national programs for Innovation (BPI, OSEO, ANVAR). Its truly unique products found interest particularly for the luxury residential integration market. Sold in France through a network of specialist dealers, the speakers available for the hifi and installation markets are now available in more than 50 countries.

Brand new for 2024, Waterfall Audio will be unveiling the Niagara XT loudspeakers, expanding the company's glass speaker designs. According to the company, the new range – which features three models – has benefited from enhanced technical and aesthetic possibilities. The company developed a new wood horn - where the standard Niagara speakers have a glass horn (pictured above) - and can now be featured with a Nappa leather top in order to provide different luxury options. More details to be discovered at ISE 2024.

"Customers have been installing our glass loudspeakers in properties all around the world since 1999," comments Cedric Aubriot, CEO and Founder of Waterfall Audio. "Combining high-quality audio performance and stunning aesthetics has always been at the heart of what we do. Our new product range takes the possibilities of what a loudspeaker can achieve to the next level. We are extremely excited to launch the Niagara XT loudspeakers at ISE, along with several other new and existing audio products."

At ISE 2024, Waterfall Audio will also be introducing the new Jetstream damping technology, which has been developed to control damping in its range of floorstanding glass loudspeakers, including Niagara, Iguascu and Victoria. As the company reveals, this new Jetstream damping technology is "a significant improvement in both design and technical aspects,"  and "redefines and maximizes performance levels and allows deeper and faster bass with a smother response in the midrange."

The Waterfall Pro Custom Series (pictured), which includes the LCR500 and SUB600S, will also be on display. The LCR500’s very high-power handling means that it is intended for rooms sizes between 40 to 100 square meters. Its total depth (21cm) is equivalent to the depth of the SUB600S and makes it easy to integrate behind an acoustically transparent screen. The dynamic capacities of 2x LCR500 and 2x SUB600S, as a 2.2 set up will be on demo – powered by Waterfall exclusive RS700 DSP AMP.
