Established in 2012, Soranik is a leading IEM manufacturer from Vietnam creating products that are aimed at audio enthusiasts and performers. Soranik’s principle is all about "combining technicality with musicality," and apparently the company is not afraid of exploring all technology options, such as using two different MEMS drivers in the same product - an industry first... twice.
According to USound, Soranik has chosen the Conamara 6mm super tweeter due to its ability to achieve ultra-high bandwidth frequency range of up to 80kHz, and for its unprecedented sound quality and small size. USound’s Conamara series MEMS speakers are available as full-range speakers and as tweeters to meet market demand for high-performance two-way systems. The hybrid design was completed with the xMEMS Montara monolithic which offers a flat frequency response and +/-1° phase consistency, providing a full bandwidth of 20Hz-20kHz, which makes the the crossover-less and tube-less design of these IEMs easier to tune without phase issues.
"In recent years there have been many new types of microspeakers developed for in-ear devices. However, we believe that MEMS technology will be the one that leads the portable audio market thanks to its exclusive technology being developed by cutting-edge companies such as USound. After numerous testing we are very pleased with the sound quality the USound Conamara possesses," states Soranik.
"Thanks to the advanced silicon fabrication process, MEMS microspeakers offer significant advantages in terms of size, energy efficiency, sound quality, and reliability. With their compact size and ultra-thin profiles, they are well-suited for space-constrained applications. They also deliver high-quality sound reproduction, thanks to precise movement and accurate frequency response," Soranik adds.
The new Soranik MEMS-2 IEM retails for US $1,200 and comes with attractive 3D printed ergonomic shells, and a 2-pin 0.78mm connector. These IEMs are also recommended to be paired with the iFi Audio Diablo-X, the first DAC/amp on the market designed in cooperation with xMEMS to support solid state MEMS drivers. The Diablo-X sports fully balanced 4.4mm outputs with 4,100mW of power, able to drive all manner of headphones with ease, including those incorporating the new MEMs technology.
"We are excited to announce that USound has been selected as a MEMS supplier for a new promising product line by Soranik, a leading in-ear monitor (IEM) manufacturer. Soranik’s latest in-ear monitors, featuring our Conamara 6 mm tweeters, set new standards on the audio market. They also fulfill the users’ demand for more ergonomic designs that combine comfort with high-resolution audio," states Ferruccio Bottoni, USound's CEO.
